The Span tolerance value impacts the span of the shear panel or block by subtracting the tolerance value from the space between trusses on the layout. For example:
Minimum span for shear panels to be created
Define the minimum space required to place shear panels. If the space between the standard trusses is less than this setting, shear panels will not be created in this space. The default value is 10-00.
Minimum span for blocks to be created
Define the minimum space required to place blocks. If the space between the standard trusses is less than this setting, blocks will not be created in this space.
TC (Roof) Bevel
Bevel the top chord.
Include top block
Include a top block on the shear panel.
Number of Panels - 0 to use panel length setting
Specify number of bays to use; if 0 is selected, the setting from EnvData > Geometry > GeometryControls > Shear Panel vertical panel length is used.
Common span for all shear panels/blocks
If set to True, all panels or blocks are created with the same span, no matter what the actual distance is between the trusses. This span is determined using the following settings:
For example, if the On-Center Spacing is 2-00-00, the One-Ply Thickness is 01-08, and the Span Tolerance - reduce span for installation setting is 00-02, all of the panels/blocks will be created with a span of 1-10-06 (truss spacing minus the one-ply thickness and span tolerance).
Shear panel or block
Select panel or block.
Lock the Top Block or Shear Panel dimension
True locks the top block/shear panel dimension.
Lock Shear Panel Height Dimension
True locks the shear panel height dimension.
Lock Shear Panel Top Block - Panel dimension
True locks the shear panel top block panel dimension.
